Has anybody tried succesfully getting a single insurer for 2+ cars and find it cheaper than quoting individually?

Saw this on another forum:

I have had my NSX and a handfull of other cars covered simultaneously through Ibex Insurance for many years. They are underwritten by Lloyds (although that means nothing) but handle claims really well and pay promptly in the event of an accident anywhere in Europe (just ask my wife). I work in Gibraltar but I think they cover UK plated cars all over the EU. I use a local office here but it might be worth a look at their website as I know they have agencies everywhere. Obviosuly you will have to make clear to them you don't need a full EU green card rate if you dont take your cars outside GB!!! http://www.ibexinsure.com/

I use Admiral Multicar, around £1k for the NSX, S2000, ITR and Prelude combined with 2 drivers.

I have currently got mine with admiral and the wifes 147 lusso. All in £700 this year but just got renewal and £800 so might go solo. Following website was on for a great help in getting one.

I'm with Admiral, and have know complaints

I have 5 cars (which is thier limit) and different people named on each car, I pay about £2.5k for the multi policy and it would be about £4k if I did each car on it's own.

There are other companies out there now which will do this plus I saw one at Silverstone Classic that would also do your House insurance so even bigger savings.

I have a policy called "Family Fleet" through a broker called Clegg Gifford. We have 6 cars insured for the 2 of us to drive, although the wife only ever drives her own :)

You have to advise the main driver and approximate mileage each vehicle will cover each year but it's waaaaaay easier to have a single policy rather than dealing with 6 separate renewals even if the premium wasn't cheaper, which I think it is.

Cheers
