NSX-R Console

Can anyone tell me what the NSX-R centre console is coated in or it just a paint? I'm having my console and handles re-done at the moment and I was going to go down the dark silver route but decided now to go with a mat black or a similar look to the one in the pic below.

Can only see the usual x's but no worries Sudesh ... I would suspect that the console is painted but rather than a matt finish, most probably is a satin finish like many of the other descreet parts on the R models

Sudesh is a Satin finish, but if they scratch it will show.

Is it!! I actually thought it was like some type of silicone skin that covered the panel. Something similar to those silicone covers you get for mobile phones.

Its down to the firewalls I have, which wont let me look at photobucket either.

The X's are usually caused by your companies web browsing filters. Photobucket is a typical site that gets blocked by companies.In terms of the coating, it looks like rubber, I guess if is feels like rubber then it will be. I would be tempted to get them coated even if its just for the feel :)
