I've been looking to get a decent diecast model of my car for a while now. I've found the link below, these models seem to have a decent writeup. Does anyone know anything about them and what's the going rate for something like this? FWIW the wheels look a bit wide tracked on this one so it may not be a goer.

Cheers,
Rich

I managed to pick up a baragin 1/18th scale Silver one off of Ebay this week. There are others available there too, definately yellow and red! Or did you mean an airfix type model kit as opposed to metal?

And like Jaytip - what link!!! ;)

Was that the LHD one with a scratch on the roof ??

Yes thats the one.....I thought at 2.10 plus p&p I may well be able to buff it out or even have a go with my new air compressor and air brush set! I am not a collector or anything, but we have 1/18th models of 2 of our Audis and fancied that one too!
I'll let you know how back the accident damage is to the roof!

For anyone looking for a 1/18 model I would recommend the Kyosho one before the Revell one.

The Ebbro 1/24 are also quite nice, but pricey.

I think the 1/18th Audi models we have are by SunStar models but don't know if they cover the NSX?

It's far too old, basically. You'll be looking for clearance/secondhand.

IIRC, Autoart (I think!) do the 1/18 racing versions (Raybrig et al).

The Kyosho one to which Simon refers is quite decent, although modelling standards have advanced quite a bit since then.

I agree with Simon, Kyosho make decent models, but the problem is they only make them in batches periodically and currently you have to buy second hand or a surprised unopened one appears from a model shop thats never been sold, these can be rarer! I'm still looking for one to match my car, nearest was an Acura badged last year!

Simon, you don't have a spare one going from your very large collection!? :D

Doh, I'm an idiot! Don't have access to ebay or email at work. It's a Kyosho model, of a RHD Honda badged red NSX on sale in the states. Described as in flawless condition. One reasonable quality pic of the model on the ebay page.

Starting price was $49 - I asked the question on postage and the starting price went up to $99... (+$30 postage)

Do you want one of us who has access to watch it for you?

That's not where I was going, more so anyone could find it to check out the quality. I'll post a link late this evening, and make a call on the bidding
Cheers,
Rich

Looking at the pictures it looks fine to me.

It's the version in the Black and Red box also, nice model.
I prefer the later ones in the plastic window boxes, you can then display them in the boxes.

the kyosho 1/18th die cast is one of the better ones, the revell does leave a bit to be desired! also the kyosho version is one of the few (if not only) that has an opening bootlid.... and flock carpet in the interior!!! I'd have one, but they always seem to be the wrong side of £50!!!!

Keep an eye out, the last 2 I bought were the right side of £20 :)
