So while my car is currently going through some modifications, I decide to remove the "BEEP" thats found on the JDM car's when you leave the key in the ignition. This was really simple to do and can be re-installed if desired. I done a small write up:

First remove the under tray on the drivers side. The one with the foot well light needs to come off.

Once removed you will be able to see up behind the ignition barrell and the cables coming from it.

There are two black protective plastic covers that surround a group of wires, one directly at the back of the barrell, and one at the side. The one you want is the one on the side that runs to a grey plug with 4 wires.

I then unplugged it, and opened the female connector up. You need a small screw driver a very light touch to open the small clasp that keeps the wire in.

Once the clasp is open I removed the black wire and close it up again.

I then insulated the black wire up against the black protective plastic and that's it! Job done plug back in again and "beep" is gone!!

This does not affect the warning signals for the "lights on", and by removing just the black wire the ignition light still works fine and auto dimms correctly. I'm sure to save time the wire could simply be cut and insulated but I decided to go this route to keep it clean and tidy and also it means it can be re-installed simpy and no mess.
