You can get caliper rebuild kits from honda containing new seals and pistons etc.

Just try one of the vendours on here to see if they can help.

Your car is an NA2 so whether it's a auto or not it use thes later bigger discs (298mm Front) and differant calipers (the mounting holes are differant) so you need a caliper from any NA2 from late 1997 to 2005. An early one (1991 to 1996/7) won't fit. This assumes you get use a NA2 hub which you really need as the last thing you want is differant one on either side.

Try Dirk on his vendor forum here for the spare part... http://nsxcb.co.uk/testvb/forumdisplay.php?f=25

Cheers

Thanks guys

I will contact Dirk shortly.

One thing I want to confirm.

Mine is indeed an NA1 but made in 1999, must be one of the very late one..

So I have an 1999 NA1, does that mean I can use the NA2 caliper? and will it go striaght on?

Also, is my hub, carrier, bearing discs etc... all different to NA2? or same as NA2 but different to NA1 before 1997..

I have now sourced a complete hub, the whole lot without the caliper, that is off a 1996 car, I thought they are the same but only the disc and caliper is different.. Please advise

thanks

Hi Josewick,

I did some more checking and automatic NSX's retained the NA1 designation even after the 1998 model year when all the manual cars (3.2Ltr, 6spd) were changed to the NA2 designation. So you're quite correct you car is an NA1.

I can find nothing that say that they, 1998MY and later Autos, didn't get the bigger brakes (298mm front, 303mm rear) though. Anyone know for sure???

I guess it's easiest to check what size brake disc size you have on the other side.

Either way the NA2 caliper, or more specifically the NA2 caliper mounting bracket, will bolt straight on to the 1996 hub you have.
The ony way to tell if the 1996 hub you have acquired is exactly the same is to compare part numbers. I don't have a copy of the electronic parts list to help you with that but some of the other members do so may pitch in.

Hope this helps

Mark

Maybe check with someone who can confirm it from the chassis number? Bazza at VtecDirect here? HTH
