Gear lever / Gator Removal

Can anyone tell me how to remove the above so I can get my centre console clear.
I have searched the elecronic service manual and can't find it anywhere.

Pull the chrome ring down. It will unclip from the gearknob.

Unscrew the gearknob.

....well I would have suggested Steve Irwin to remove your Gator, but that's not possible any more....
