Hi, could anyone help with two questions please?

1) Now that the mornings are dark again, should the electric window switch on the drivers side door (the one with 'auto' written on it in white) be illuminated (the mirror and main switch are and the window one looks like it might be meant to light up.) Don't want to take the door apart (again) to replace the bulb only to find that it doesn't have one!

2) How do you get at the climate control mode motor assembly to insepct the motor and flaps? I think that mine may be working erratically and not opening the flap that sends air to the windscreen defrost vents. Very annoying now that it's cold as the windscreen mists up. Is this accessed via the dash, or from uner the bonnect by removing the spare wheen and blower etc? I want to check the flaps before assuming that the circuit board needs repairing.

Oh and yes my in-car air temp sensor fan buzzes as well. Can'y say that I can hear it over the sweet VTEC noise though!

Many thanks

Robin

1) Nope - there is no light in my 2000 car! :)
2) You'll need someone more technical than me sorry...:(

Robin, the full workshop manual is available for download from NSXPrime. I'm sure that will tell you how to access / remove the various CC components.

err, thanks. I have already looked at it, but I'm afraid the line drawings still leave me a bit in the dark as to exactly how to get at the motor!

I'll have another look!

Update: I finally decided that the problem was likely to be in the CCU board. I mailed it to Brian K in the USA who specialises in fixing NSX air con units (http://nsxe-repair.com ) and $145 later my climate control system is 100% functional again!

Big thanks to Brian who also provided much (free!) advice while I was diagnosing the problem. Highly recommended (and he also fixes speakers amps). I shudder to think how much it would have cost from Honda!

(oh and I also cleaned the aspirator fan while the console was out and it is now silent.)
