They are not NSX-R seats..... real ones have adaptation for seatbelt plus are Carbon kevlar not fibreglass. They look like one of the many copies based of a recaro shell.

Not checked anything else but seeing that would make me cautious regarding the accuracy in other ads.

Spoil sport....I had noticed that too actually (plus they don't say Recaro).

Shame you missed Japfest Sammy would have been a pleasure to have added your fine example to the stand :(.

As stated these are not R seats, especially as the OEM ones are about $7k each to buy new!!

Have reported to ebay as mis-described.

I contacted the guy about the Shocks a few days ago asking for clearer pics by direct email.
I then received an email from him with an attatchment which my virusscanner blocked.
After letting him know this, he replied that there was no virus in the pic mail and he would send again, still haven't received anything.
I will pass on this.
Doesn't sound trustworthy

I can't believe people will pay so much just because it says Type R on it.

If you want to spend a stupid amount on a seat, you can get some Recaro SP-As which look similar and cost just over £1k.

I wasnt sure myself if they were NSX-R seats as I havent seen too many but you guys would be able to set that straight!

Same shell except that the type S had leather on the bolsters and an alcantara centre to match the door cards.

Cheers,

Shouldn't the back be exposed CF with yellow weaves? I sat and had a good look at Bazza's Type R seats at Japfest and they don't look like the ones on fleabay! DTM, you got a lift up to & from Fest with the said car, did you notice the seats on Bazzas or were you snoozing? ;)

The seats on ebay look like CIVIC OR INTEGRA Type-R seats!

Just my 2p's worth...

If you are buying the seats because you like them I take it you will be bidding.
If you're not buying them why are you giving free advertising to help the seller who has mis-represented the item.
In either case, I see no point in this thread.

It's just a thread like some others I seen on here! I posted it in case someone might be interested as I though they were original NSX-R parts and they are not easy to come by. There have been other threads on here similar, its a forum to help people, meet people discuss issues and talk about the NSX. Dont think it's that big of an issue really

I suppose also that perhaps without this thread people might have bought them unknowingly too!

The seller misrepresented them, but Status are not a bad brand if that is what they are.
