Check strap making clicking noise on drivers door

Hi,

Does anyone know if this is a common failure on the car, an early 1992/93 3.0. do you know which part might need replacing, eg maybe the bolt, or strap. etc.

Not known as a regular fault. Mine does too, and my dealer noted it, but said it just needs greasing.

Is it loose and broken, or just clicking when the door is about half open?

I also have this problem and have tried various degrees of tightening of the exterior bolts (not the ones inside the door yet) and lots of grease to no avail. Sounds liek it could be fairly common, let me know if you find a fix:D

i had this on a merc, and just replaced the bolt to fix it.
