Well, another 2 NSX type S's have been sold last week in Japan.

Date Year Displ. Trans. Run (ths km) Syaken Color Frame Grade Price, USD Mark

01.03.2007 1997 3200 F6 41 06.2008 yellow NA2 TYPE-S 56500 5

01.03.2007 1997 3200 F6 42 07.2008 white pearl NA2 TYPE-S 56800 4.5

So about £30000 plus shipping of course :( But only 25k miles on them

Sounds good before you factor in 10k for the shipping costs... if I was going to fork that out just for shipping it would have to be an R I was bring back I think!

As far as I know shipping is closer to £1k than £10k.

It'll be the duty that you get stung on :(

Simon, is there an age at which this is wiped out, like the DVLA(?) test etc? IMO, early £30k's all in is a cracking price for an S of such vintage.

I don't know re the duty question, but I would imagine if HMR&C can charge you on any age vehicle, then they will.

You would need to :

Pay the shipping fee, which is calculated on the cubic meterage of the vehicle (around 1k for an NSX)
Pay the 10% Import Duty and 17.5% VAT.
Pay the Customs Duty \ Admin Fees

And...

Register the car and pay the DVLA registration fee.
Prepare the car for the SVA Test or MOT test. (i.e Change Speedometer to Miles Per Hour, Fit Rear Fog Lights etc.).
SVA test and/or MOT the car.

Not cheap eh!!!
