Does anyone know what should be required at 72k on a 3.0l manual?

I have looked at the 1991 Service Manual and there is nothing shown that is significant, most of the big items having been done at 60k.

I ask due to the thread that ran last week when various figures £750+ were quoted for a 72k service. I want to better understand what is involved when mine goes in for its 72k.

Ok according to the manual and bills I've had)

Oil and filter obviously = filter = £7.56, oil = £33.89
check and adjust valve clearances if necessary.
fuel filter ?
Air cleaner ?
Engine coolant ?
Inspect and adjust drive belts
Transmission oil (it says replace if necessary, this should have been done at 48K also so if it hasn't then it's definately time). = £31.97
Replace brake fluid.

Screen wash = £1.30-£1.50.
Environmental and brake cleaner - varies around the £5-£7 mark depending on dealer.

Oil and filter + transmission oil takes about 0.5 according to last years invoice.

Obviously if some of those things have been done recently then you can skip them.

Cheers,

James.

P.s, if it needs plugs (should have been replaced at 60K) see the other link on this site, otherwise you'll be paying £18.00 each!

My car's a 1991 on 51,000 miles. It had its last 'full' service 2-years ago including a clutch change and the total cost was £1600.

It was first registered in 97 although it must have come off the assembly line in 96. I think that places me firmly in the 6k bracket, although the 91 service manual on NSX Prime gives intervals of 7.5k.
