I had a notable birthday last week and my beloved treated me to a day out in a Ferrari 550 Maranello (it was supposed to be 355 but that's another story!)

Just to say that even though i thoroughly enjoyed the experience i was quite glad to get back into the NSX!!
The Ferrari looked amazing from the outside but had poor finsihing touches internally (Italian switch gear to start with!!). The performance was staggering however it was achieved in a jerky fashion rather than smooth power delivery - probably because of the continual interference from the ACS in first and second gears.

If you get the opportunity you should still try it though!

I have a similar day booked by my family for my birthday at Silverstone.

I get to go in an Audi TT wooowww to learn the track, then a 911, then a 355.

Was your day at Silverstone - could I also end up in a 550 instead?

I'm looking forward to it obviously to see how the two cars compare to my NSX.

The particular company we used also has track day offers similar to the one you are describing but also have arrangements where you can drive the car on public roads independantly for either half a day or a full day depending on your preference. I had the car for the full day on public roads. Enjoy your experience and i look forward to getting your appraisals!
