Hello all i thought i would give you all some info re the abs wheel sensor.

Without warning the ABS light and TCS light came on. I performed the diagnosis and found the ns front sensor to be faulty. On checking it i discovered the sensor had become detatched from the cover plate (b******d is the term). The fix was simple phone Norton Way and pay £180+VAT (price quoted sept 06) or get it from the states for $103 plus tax shipping and duty appx £90 in all and here within 9 days (well all the UK airports had been closed you may remember).

It took 15 mins to fit and the only special tool was a bent piece of wire to hook the connector as it passed throught the bulkhead. Dont forget to remove and replace the 2 fuses and the clock fuse from the fuse box under the bonnet to clear the fault code.

Job done.

Also do not forget Dirk. It took 4 days to come, looked almost new & was even cheaper. They do not wearout but I know that they fail!
