oil pressure

Three days into ownership and I have noticed that the oil pressure gauge fluctuates from about 3 thingies at idle to 7 when accelerating. Cruising it is steady at 4. It is very consistent.
My other car does not have an oil pressure gauge so I may be worrying unnecessarily

no oil leaks or any other sign of problems

I agree, and add that it may drop two thingies when in VTEC, ie above 6000rpm.

I had the same concerns when I picked mine up earlier in the year, but recieved the same responses and all is well.

:eek: were you not a bit worried, after all that's what the gauge is for?

Mine's a bit like "million miles" but does fluctuate on a daily basis. Oh, and did I say i've just gone over 100,000 miles:D

Not too worried. Try riding a Trident for a few thousand miles, then you'd be worried!!
