Crikey - sounds a bit harsh on S2k doesn't it :D

I like the NoSeX joke - most of my mates used to give me that all the time...

Cheers

Used to be Dale's, sold it to someone who is now selling it again.

Few posts on the Yahoo email list about it.

If NSXs are for Ferrari wannabe's what are S2000 owners?

Sounds a bit harsh and racist to me some of the comments.
I will be adding my info to the S2K forum to.

I have never been a Ferrari wanabe I have always liked the NSX.
Just watched carfile on M & M Sky they drove a NSX usual comments on the interior.

Welshman it was me who had it and sold it and do miss it

I checked out the thread on the S2K site which was a great disappointment - so much bad feeling there :(

I bought an NSX because it's the only affordable car that fits in with my lifestyle and leisure pursuits:

Performance car when needed - docile and fuel friendly when not.
Room for 2 sets of golf clubs and overnight suit carrier (out of sight).
Easy to drive for me and my wife
Pedigree handling.
Reliabity
Quality fitments.
Inside cabin that is simple but effective.
Low cost maintenance.
Low cost Insurance

I looked at Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes, Audi and none of these makes got anywhere near to satisfying those needs.

I am delighted to be the owner of a Honda NSX - it's certainly had the power to fulfill my dreams! :D

Yeah, I'll shove some 20" wheels on my car I think. Top idea. Sure it'll do wonders for the handling.

What a bunch of cretins.

S2KI is having a major revamp and moving to a new server - it's been down since June 30th.
I would imagine that once the move is complete the thread will once again be accessable (or maybe not?)

Thats a nasty thread over on s2ki. I used to be on that board when I had a S2000. It has gone down alot. As an Asian, former S2000 owner who's just bought a NSX, I could take offence from some comments on that thread.

As you will have seen, I agree. Pity that soem of them don't seem to appreciate the effect their comments have.

Hi guys

I was just looking over here, and spotted this thread.

I remember that thread happening over on s2ki, and as soon as it was brought to my attention what was in that thread I binned it. As one of the site moderators there, if you ever see anything like that, please report it or PM me :) We don't spot everything, and until it was brought to my attention by someone on s2ki it went, unfortunately un-noticed :(

Apologies for any offence caused. Those of you who have met us and know some of us will know that we are nice guys and girls. Unfortunately, sometimes the minority can cause issues :(

NHF :)

Ian - S2Ki has really gone downmarket in terms of the people posting on it IMHO. Maybe because early S2000s are in boy-racer wideboys' financial reaches now, or am I being a snob? Anyways, I remember the early days of s2000.org.uk and my babynsx.com.... it was all so friendly back then in 1998/9.

As the car becomes more mass market, and the numbers increase i suppose change is inevitable.

Myself and the other CO's work damn hard to make it an enjoyable place, size doesnt help that though - it is far bigger than it used to be, near 3000 users in the UK now days, probably 500 or so actively using the UK Forum.

At the meets though which is what the community is really about, it's not downmarket at all, it is still the great friendly community it always has been :)

I agree - the S2K-crowd made me feel welcome even though I'd just turned up on the day and in the 'wrong' car, too.

hey Dale

I see your old plate is up for sale on www.regtransfers.co.uk for a bargain £64,705.00 including VAT and transfer fee

see here (http://www.regtransfers.co.uk/main/OrderRegMark/orderregmark.asp?searchpage=homepage&regno=NSX%201&regprice=55000&index=0&st=&plateid=30250779)

They're having a laugh aren't they? Why would someone buy a plate that is more than the value of the new car on which to put it?
