Had a quick search on here and didn't come across anything.

What is the general consensus re servicing.

I have put too many miles on the car recently, however the majority are motorway miles.

Should I be using a 6000 or 9000 mile servicing interval.
Also what is covered on each service.

The last service I had done was a 60k service with no cam belt as that was done about 2 years ago.

The car is a 97 3.2 for anyone that doesn't know.

Although some of the parts say service every 6000 I'm pretty certain that you only need to service a 3.2 every 9,000.

Of course every 6 would probably be better but so would every 3!

Sounds right; 3 litrs cars every 6K, 3.2's every 9K.

Bugger, my 60K's coming up soon.

Cheers,

James.

Its just like DC2s that. They changed it one model year and the car was the same. I thought it was to do with oil advances in technology, so using better oil in any engine would mean can keep it in longer.

Myself i change every 4k as only do 8k a year anyways.

Simon,

I would say use the 9K interval...I am 99% certain this was introduced with the arrival of the 3.2 in '97 from the enquiries I made when getting mine done. I use the 9K or 3 months which ever comes first
