Hi Minime

The good news is that cars over ten years old and limited mileage can go on a classic car insurace policy. Most companies offer free track-day insurance (although with the popularity of track days increasing this is becoming rarer)

Try Auto-torque on 0161 278 5226 (good specialist)

Aon Classic Car on 01483 706070 (we use them) http://www.aonprivateclients.com

Heritage Classic Car Insurance on 0845 811 8118 (insure classic ferraris with free track day cover)

Classicline on 01455 639000.

I wish you luck but I tried. When I was thinking about buying a 91 car I eventually after a long search found a firm that would offer limited mileage CC insurance, 5000 p.a. for about £350. They would only offer this on a 15 year old+ car. Because my car is a 97, I ended up paying £515 unlimited.

Just got my ins for 670 - I'm 26 with 3 points living in dodgy ol' Basingstoke. I have a few tips for y'all as I work in insurance...

get your mrs insured - if she's clean (unlikely with you lot  ) then it will more than likely reduce your quote substantially (only works for new quotes ... you cant add her on and get a rebate half way through the year!!!)

no one company is good for everyone - eg Tescos is good for a lot of people but they hate me!! Try all the online databases (eg elephant, confused etc) and then do all the big names as lots of online co exclude some of the biggies now.

Get put through to the company's referral department and ask them if they can do any better on your renewal quote... I did and saved £100 and got £100k worth of legal cover thrown in!

I'm with Churchill btw.[/list]
