So the car is on the ramps at Honda Bexleyheath. They have the full cam belt, water pump, etc kit from Dali.

They tell me its the wrong water pump and wrong oil filter too. I have already told them about the mod required to fit the new pump (they have done it in the past).

I'm still being told the parts are incorrect. Any further info on exactly how to fit the pump etc? Mark at Dali has sent some info but I may need an idiots guide for said idiots in order to convince them to fit the parts supplied. I have every confidence in Dali Racing so there's a fool somewhere in the chain and it ain't me.

just tell them to fit the damn things and quit their whining!!

or to be more diplomatic, tell them:

oil filter - it'll fit just fine so fit it already

water pump - just drill a hole in the cambelt cover for the repositioned drain tube to exit - now it'll fit fine

I actually have the new lower cover from Dali so they shouldn't have to do bugger all modifying.

Going over today to crack heads or get the car re-assembled and find someone else. Plans Motorsport would have been better but this particular garage is so close and what with the baby, I have to chose the most convenient option.

Thanks anywho.

PS Mark Johnson has been really helpful with part numbers etc....why is it we get so little right over here. The kit I ordered took twice as long to be delivered the last 7 miles of its journey locally than it did to travel across one continent and a bloody great big ocean! Bumbling fools everywhere I turn.

Sorted now.

They were going to screw me for £380 and the part they ordered was the same as the Dali one. I wonder whether if I had not checked, they would have owned up to this.

In fairness, the ordering system does not show the discontinuation of the old style pump and they are pretty new to the NSX.

Service and cam belt/water pump change labour only £550.
90K service kit and window regulator from Dali around £750 delivered

Saving..........at least £300

they don't like it when you show that you know more about your car than they do

Sorry i only spotted this thread now,i could have helped(possibly)
I had exactly the same dilema with Two Mills about two years ago, telling me that it was an incorrect waterpump and that i would have to order a new one with them.I said ok,thinking"hey, this an NSX dealership so they must know what they are on about right?"WRONG

I had to leave my car with them for an extra week because i could not get back up to them due to work.On returning home i got on the net, posted a thread on prime and was told that it was a newer version of the pump and that it was the right part.

I phoned Two Mills on the monday morning telling them to fit the waterpump i had supplied and the cheeky b******s told me i would have to pay the shipping cost of the new pump that had been ordered for me.I told them in no uncertain terms what they could do,if they don't know how to do their job it's their problem not mine.
Lo and behold come bill time there was an extra hours labour charge for a bolt that had snapped in the chasis and had to be re-threaded??? and an extra hours labour charge because they said they had to bleed the system THREE times.Never again will i use Two Mills.

I can understand the bolt, but if they can't do it right first time then that's up to them. That's the whole point of fixed price servicing, if they can't do it as quick as Honda say then that's a skills / training issue.

What i should have done is ask them to show me what bolt they were talking about.Outside of routine servicing, they should clear with the customer before they do ANY extra work.I believe they just padded the bill because i supplied all my own parts for the service PLUS they had to cover the cost of ordering in a specialist part that they did not need.
