As the title states: which colour?

Silver
Gun metal
Candy red

If mods can make this into a poll. I'd be appreciative.

Cheers.

They're a little bright ;-) I was thinking more 'lightning McQueen.'

I vote for the OEM color, no experiments. Candy red can get tired but can be changed...to Gold/Champagne wheels maybe to suit a black car?

Red may be a little OTT for an NSX, gun-metal would definitely be too subtle, so either a bright silver or something gold-y.

I've to add that if Gold then NOT the Gold Subaru used on their rims. More like Champagne or the Gold Rays wheels uses. This one looks cool to my eyes: https://www.adv1wheels.com/gallery/matte-black-mercedes-benz-sls-amg-adv10-m-v2-cs-wheels/#jp-carousel-34483

If it has to be brake dust friendly nothing beats Gun metal IMO but on a black car I'd favor more contrast.

If you can find a good wheel shop I'd suggest shadow chrome ... Inside of the wheels will be gloss black with the fronts bright silver .. If the painter can apply silver at accute enough angle it should only hit the face of the wheels ... This In turn will give the wheel the impression of looking larger ... And they offer a bright finish with low maintenance which against your black will look stunning ...

One side silver, the other gunmetal....best of both worlds.

So that’s; one wheel Red (doh, done that), one wheel Silver, one wheel Gunmetal, the only choice is the the forth wheel.
Do you still have the BBS wheels with the gold centres?

Goldtop, I like the bronze wheels in the first picture. I think that could work well.
Paul, I'm not sure about shadow chrome. I've had a look online, but would like to see some up close.
Duncan, BBS wheels with gold centres? Do you mean the old set of Volks? If so. No, they went on the LBB car I killed.
However, The car I've just bought is coming with 17/18 BBS LM's with gold centres.

Cheers.

I had what was called “shadow” chrome applied to my Stilauto’s about ten years ago and I have to say they did look good.
Hope this image helps.13203

The bronze on your black NSX as shown by goldtop would look stunning too.

Red when used properly is the classiest colour for the NSX, but not so sure on the wheels. The red makes it look like the bat-mobile!

Gunmetal would work best

^ I disagree - gunmetal works well where there is a colour such as Midnight Pearl, or Monte Carlo Blue Pearl - but not when you are dealing with Black, as it just has no contrast.

'Gunmetal' has a wide range of color tones and brightness. This will make the difference. Rays Gunmetal (or is it actually Bronze?) wheels on a black car above looks perfect to me...on Rays CE-28N but we're dealing with an OEM wheel here which has a different shape. If you have seen the OEM wheels in their OEM color it's hard to accept another color (from the perspective of a spectator who knows the NSX). From this perspective RED is far off. :)

If you want black chrome, you need to buy a Leg End like mine.

For the Type-S, as close to OEM as possible is best; Candy pink is definitely for riced Civics only.

Both - Rays/Mugen offer a sort of greyish gunmetal anodising - or a darkish bronze one as found on my black S2000.

I have OEM 16/17 7 spokes painted shadow chrome that you are welcome to try on the car before making the decision if that helps.

Thanks Olly,

Wish you were closer! I've just found a great wheel app. So I'll post some pics up when I get the chance.

Here are some from the photoshop app. I don't think you can change the colour. But you do get a good choice of wheel.

Silver, defo.

goldtop

Nope. Gold, defo.

Although there are so many golds, and some aren't right. This week I've commissioned a big batch of control panels in a colour that's similar to the guitar in my avatar photo. The printer had about 20 different golds. Some differences were subtle and some not so. For sure, the more 'orange' the gold looks, the less classy it appears. IMHO, black and Charlotte green are the two NSX colours where gold wheels definitely add interest without being gaudy.

That shade of gold does look good. Definitely better than red. If everybody liked the same stuff, it would get boring quick.
