Ok so I can't afford a 2nd Gen NSX, ( I looked on Ebay and even selling the kids and a kidney I can't raise the money) BUT ....

I do so like the look of this

So BIG question how do I go about importing one ?

I'm not sure you will get much for your son, but I understand you may get good money for your daughter in the middle east ;)

On a serious note you can do it all your self if you have the time and inclination, but I would recommend you use a specialist Japanese importer such as Torque GT (based in Devon) as you will have some form of come back if it all goes wrong.

Martin (HAVOC) may no more as he did/does have a imported civic.

I still do, but I'm 3rd owner and it came in through Litchfields, so sadly I can't advise much.

What I think you'll need to be careful of is the SVA (IVA?) - if you're the first to bring one in then it's a little pricier / more complex than if someone's already done it...which was the core issue with the NA2-R - Honda HAD done it for Button's car but refused to release the SVA data, as I understand it.

...so unless you can establish that for certain, one of the handful of specialist importers out there is probably is a sensible route to go down, depending on the fee they want.

Also worth establishing what the import duty would be (& VAT if a new purchase, potentially - check this out as a 20% extra charge may sting a little!).

I think the cost of SVA/IVA for anything less than ten years old, makes it a tad expensive.

There's supposedly the first sighting of the new S2000 at Tokyo, in case that helps...

Torque GT have 2 S660's on their for sale list, but I don't know if there is already one in the UK yet - can't find any trace of the model on HowManyLeft, but that's no definitive indicator at this stage.

The Japanese mags are rumouring that the S1000 is back on yet again.

That's a Rest of World S660 plus a rear luggage compartment. Well, toothbrush compartment.

Might be worth hanging on until the Tokyo motor show.

A new version of the S660 is about to be launched in Japan - The Bruno Leather Edition. (http://www.honda.co.jp/news/2017/4170518-s660.html?from=copy)
