Okay now that it is at home, I can let the cat out of the bag.

I bought a 1994 NSX-R.

Wow, is all I can say, is it fast. It makes my 3.2 seem slow.

I will post pictures as soon as get a chance.

Cheers

You mean I won't pass Ian in it on my way to work now in the mornings in that beast going the other way...damn!!

Excellent move AR - that thing looks awesome - you could have popped in and seen me when you picked it up I'm only 5 mins away from Fishpool Road (I guess that is where you did the deal)!

Look forward to your feedback...

Matt.

Very cool car. Hadn't it been for sale for ages though? Was there anything wrong with it?

I don't think the last owner was actively selling it though.I always browse on autotrader/E+M/Ebay and i can't recall seeing it advertised anywhere other than this board last year.

Not really, just maitenance issues such as cambelts needeing doing at the end of the year and maybe rear brakes at the same time.

There is the odd stone chip, but it is to be expected with any car this age.
The only thing I done is replace the Sabelt Torino 4 - point system with the OEM seatbelts as those were bothering my wife who also drives the car. Now if only someone could sell me a used set of B-Pillar covers I could pick up Kevin's harness bar system and some belts and the two systems could be had at the same time. Until then the OEM system will do, if it was enough for Ayrtron Senna around Susuka, it has to be good enough for us on the street.

Overall it seems a pretty solid car.

I looked at enough car's, and was ready to buy make up my minde between Pande's and an 02+ when I decide to contact the last owner and that was it.

He was a nice bloke and like Ivor mentioned he did not really want to or needed to sell it, he wanted it to go to an NSX enthusiast, and it did in the end.

Nice one Ary, Good to see you NSX mounted again and in something very special 8) I'd love to see it sometime.

I viewed a Charlotte Green '94 Type R back in 2001 (I think), I wonder if this is your car?
It was at "Garage on the Green" a specialist sports/prestige car dealer in Fulham (West London). It had recently come to the UK via Australia but didn't have the digi dash etc that your car has now. That could have been fitted while here or you have a sister ship somewhere in the UK. 8)

Congrats again :D

I doubt it Mark as this one has had the same owner since 1998. It is a two owner car. I have what I take to be all of the Japanese history form the moment it was ordered to the point it left Japan, and all UK history.

BTW The type R exhaust looks very similar to yours.

Will definately get some at the RR day as I'll have my professional photographer with me ( well, not really but he is bloody good! ) so will get mine up over the weekend :D

That last comment leads me to ask ... where's the Papa?

That last comment leads me to ask ... where's the Papa?

I think he is on Holidays.

I am really upset about not being able to go to the rolling road day, but I will do my own soon too.

I am( fingers crossed ) going on a Brecon Run on PH and I am sure there will be some good pictures from that day.

Cheers
