the second supercar siege event of the year is again at Brands Hatch, ... from their facebook page....

https://www.facebook.com/events/1526061637701941/

With the Siege gathering momentum for 2016, we have secured an area for 300+ cars to display at Brands Hatch once again raising money for the Royal Navy and Royal Marine Children's Fund.

Our team will be bringing the atmosphere with them so we hope for an amazing family day.

We aim to have the Sporting Bears involved helping to give passenger rides in return for donations and a possibilty of some of these rides taking place on track. Passenger rides around the famous Brands circuit in Ferrari's, Lamborghini's and McLaren's should make for an amazing memory.

Amazing prizes for both the show and shine area and best in show.

no entry details as yet, just a heads up...

it coincides with Tunerfest, so there's plenty of track action...

19th of June (Sunday) is Fathers Day, so I might be able to get a pass out as well.

This one sounds like a better charity option than the one at Leeds Castle

it's alongside (hopefully overwhelming) Tunerfest, which will include some time-attack action.

if normal procedure is followed, there will be charity donation page set-up, where the money goes directly to the charity, and the donation grants you entry, picking up the tickets on the gate on the day. as soon as the donation page goes live, i'll post the details...

latest news from Ross....

Apologies for keeping people hanging ref our next event. Emails back and forth haven't been getting the answers I need to push ahead. Hopefully Monday will be revealing or we may have to discuss using another event/venue. :s

I had a email today around 11am from Supercar Seige

last part reads " To display your vehicle we are asking for a small £15 donation which will help cover the cost of the ticket plus a small percentage going to the charity.

This money, on top of the Sporting Bears donations will be our only source of revenue this time around so we are pushing hard to make sure we fill all 300 spaces.

Club stands will be accommodated but we are limiting the spaces to 20 per club to make sure we don't have a monopoly by any one marque.

To secure you place you simply need to respond to this email with your name and vehicle details included. "

I assume those that attended BH in May will get the same and I'm hoping Britlude will be along shortly giving those that didn't the means to register ....

Hi Paul

Taxi5 earlier in page 1 of the thread got confused between this event and the one which was held earlier this month.

Just before midday today I rec'd an email welcoming me back to supporting the event (probably because I attended the one on 8th May) so I suspect very few have made their £15 donation as only 4 forum members were there.
I'm not on Facebook which is the organisers preferred method of notification but I'm sure Britlude will be able to post any relevant info as it appears. With potentially over 10 NSXs I'm sure Supercar Seige would put aside a 'plot' for us as they did at Leeds Castle.

the donation page is live...

All you need to do is head over to our donation page and donate the £15 as per usual. Ideally I would prefer if you could tick the gift aid box so the charity can claim the aid back off of the government.

Just need to have your full name and make and model of the car:

http://www.virginmoneygiving.com/team/SupercarSiege-The-Big-One

This donation covers the driver and the car only. Passengers will have to pay for a ticket through the Brands website.

once donated you get added onto our mail list and will be kept up to date with information.

Kind regards,

Ross Thomson

As long as you make the donation and filled in your name and in the box typed Honda NSX (I added my reg number) that will be fine.
Before the event they will email what to do on the day. Basically go to the main entrance NOT THE MAIN CAR PARK give the guys your name they give you a ticket and you then get guided where to park. It's all efficient, it's all very well organised.

That's one for Pride or Britlude to answer as they both took passengers in May. My daughter has threatened to come with me but I'll be paying on the gate ( if that is the case) as the weather and her getting up early might play a part !

the siege entry is basically one ticket for the driver, and you get to park inside the circuit gates! if you have a passenger (as i did at the Blanc Pain meeting) you will have to buy them a ticket at the gate (bit late for an advance ticket via the Brands Hatch site i suspect) or shut your passenger in the boot and smuggle them in! ... not really, i wouldn't condone such a thing, Mr Palmer has got to pay for his helicopter somehow!

Got my email, are you convoying in from MK or Bromley?

Do we all want to meet up first and drive up together?

I will be coming down from Northampton - not sure of the best place to meet (lack of local knowledge) but it would be good to go in, in formation :-)

glad you made the effort and ventured down to sunny Kent. hope you got through the rest of the day ok!

We had a line-up of 9 NSX, with another on a trade/club stand bringing the total to 10,so a good showing for the NSX, thanks for bringing the cars out!

on a side note, the La Ferrari owner has quite a collection, Ferrari-s... R8, etc, etc, but uses the black NSX from last years Silverstone Classic Auction as his daily!!!!

....oh, SV55... in the first pic if is a replica, and a rather good one at that!!!

...which meant Sarah was driving the NSX to the event... seems she now has a desire for something with a throttle pedal that does something!

And that'll be the reason ...

Good showing, and it's nice when owners of the HyperCars don't lose touch with life and are happy to share time ...

I had to make the effort especially as my daughter Emma had spent a year living in the City where the NSX was made. The rest of the day was "touch and go" but I won't go into any detail :-S

forgot to add the link to my facebook album... https://www.facebook.com/jonathan.sutherland.7/media_set?set=a.10208668113313278.1073741954.10240 88899&type=3&pnref=story

as for the black/red batmobile... i've learnt you have no right to criticise the cars of others as you don't know the story behind them!

i mean, some at some car shows hate the hotrod, but that's their (wrong) opinion! they get upset that i've "ruined a perfectly good car hot-rodding it". i point out if i hadn't done it, then that lovely model Y shape they see before them would have been lost. "but you've chopped up a lovely car" they say....i then take great delight telling them it's a fibreglass replica!! oh....

anyhoo... the black/red highlighted wide body nsx....

1. it's an NSX that made the effort to attend! so a thumbs up there!
2. it's an auto, so the owner is obviously descerning :)
3. there are some very nice and subtle details... love the little carbon cannards at the front!
4. we don't know what the plans are, so we should shut up!

personally i'd put some batman logos on it and enjoy it!!! just to wind up the purists lol

thanks for bringing it out, shame i didn't get to say hi! (probably stuffing my face with a breakfast bap when you arrived!)
