Just found a new Honda Oil Filter 15400-PL2-505 Not sure what this fits. I have had various Honda bikes and cars. The part number for my NSX comes up as 15400-PL2-315 on Lings . Put the other number and it just comes up with Oil filter. Kingsley

Probably you don’t change the eng oil and the filter by yourself (nothing wrong about it) so didn’t notice the change until now.
The -505 oil filter has been in use for many years for our NSX.
If you enter the parts no ending -315 on the Honda parts system, it will show that it has been superseded to -505.

It started with the tall/long filter -004 and then switched to the shorter -315 (around mid-90s, I think) and then superseded to -505.

It used to be manufactured by Toyo Roki in Japan so the label said ‘Made in Japan’ but now it's assembled in US by Filtech so it says ‘Made in USA’.
Just use -505 until Honda supersedes it again to something else.
