Does anyone knows if there is a reason why the NSX Alternator Bracket is made of cast iron?

someone on prime machined an Alloy Alternator Mount:

I like the idea, but would it be safe to use such a part?

Thanks,

Bruno

But if the reason is for maintenance, when you have to lift the engine i would be happy to mount the cast iron part when needed...

I could be wrong... but to me the engine mount that attaches to this part doesn't look like the one that is subjected to the greater stress...

And you are right... the ones that suffer the most are the front and back ones...
they eat all the engine torque.
