As you all know there are hundreds, maybe thousands of NSX videos on line but what are your personal favourites and why??

Here are my two, the first one for its cinematic delivery coupled with a great technical explanation as to why this great supercar was unique game changer and why it was to become so iconic.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5v7F0UPredI

and the second video confirming the respect it still has when up against supercars of today well over 20 years after its launch. AMAZING!

Enjoy, what's yours?????

Easy choice for me, but I doubt many others will suggest this 'bit part' appearance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZRp_9zGqHA

Everything I like about the NSX and Honda expressed in a genuinely charming film: drive and determination, engineering excellence, passion, humanity. If that doesn't stir your soul, there's no hope for you. :)

Would love for Honda to do an updated one with the new NSX. Perhaps if theMcHonda wins a 2015 F1 race (which would be, very conveniently, exactly 50 years after their first.)

Great choice goldtop, but if you enjoy stirring of the emotions then give this a try as it evokes every aspect of what the NSX truly stands for, in fact I defy you not to get goosebumps while watching this, simply put,
JUST STUNNING. :D

What a circuit! It's built like a wide karting circuit set in beautiful woodland surroundings, where is that??
Sort of track you dream about.:)
I notice that the tachometer is centrally mounted in the pinnacle, couldn't see a speedo at all, any idea who makes this mod?
Also notice, unless the tach is offset, that he never really keeps it in the vtech rev range, which, if this is the case shows how flexible his power band is. Amazing!

The second vid has a great camera position which heightens the sense of speed and appears to be a hill climb stage.
Now he's definitely keeping his baby constantly above the 5.5k rev range. Nice!

What a shame there's no sub-titles nor English narration for these historic track cars.

But video footage and sound still say more than a thousand words.

The red 1999 Autobacs GT500 NSX near the end, is for me the star of this video and if I remember correctly I'm pretty sure I saw it in the flesh at the 2003 or 2004 Goodwood FOS, if only I can find the footage to prove it.

Can anyone recall it or have I got the year wrong??

This is shocking! The presenter is miss informed with little detailed knowledge and that NSX sounds like a bag of old nails, hardly a fitting tribute to how sweet they can sound ... when he revs it you cant even hear the induction over the valvetrain chatter ... dreadful.

This on the other hand, whilst a little cheesy in presentation style, does show a well sorted NSX-R being well driven .... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mN_HbmZq_Xk

Hi Mark, it sure is, if you look close you catch a glimpse of my lip spoiler drilled in fish eye led DRL's, the editor wanted them covered up as he didn't want them showing as they were to bright taking the attention away from the star of the article, the beautiful Type R.

hi Pride
How was your drive in the Type R?

Hi Mark, ever since I bought my NSX 17 years ago I always had ambitions to one day drive the NA1 NSX-R, just to experience the difference between the two and now I have, although only driving it for a few hundred metres but sadly not in anger, I was pleased to find that my minor suspension modifications made my car feel virtually the same with regard to body roll, stiffness and turn in feel.

I put this down to these 2 devices:

https://www.scienceofspeed.com/index.php/nsx/spp/suspension-accessories/cedar-ridge-non-compliance-front-pivot-clamps-nsx-1991-05.html

http://www.nsxprime.com/forum/showthread.php/182281-NSX-R-Anti-Sway-Bar-vs-Dali-0-875-quot-Street-Race-Swaybar

The main noticeable differences between the 2 cars, apart from the obvious, the colour, was the thinner steering wheel and seats, making you feel that you are in something very special and of course the very audible, mechanical sound and goings on from the engine bay, probably mainly due to the non double glazed engine bay partition window and the non sound proofed engine bay shelf, giving you a very visceral experience, which, I can imagine on a long journey would get very wearing, but for my experience all the more intoxicating.

The doors felt a lot lighter on opening and closing, making me wonder if they must have used thinner gauge aluminium???

Anyway a great ambition fulfilled, although on reflection I think I would still prefer the creature comforts of my car over the kudos of having the -R badged NSX.

Thanks for asking.

When did you modify your suspension?
Mark

After driving around on chromed 18"/17" Stilauto's for the best part of 14 years I thought I would refit the origanol 15/16's and boy, what a revelation.:)
They might not look as cool, although that's debatable, or as bling and they don't, but the feel back achieved was amazing.
Having got the handling/feeling back I once had many years ago I decided then to stiffen up the body/chassis roll with Dali sway bars. Felt like a totally different car. Great!
I really didn't want to get to caught up in all the technical aspects of suspension upgrades but still wanted to achieve the holy grail of handling in my own mind so I then purchased a set of Spoon rigid collars only to be advised that the small increase in handling would not justify the £250 out lay plus all the grief of installing and the compliance pin clamp would make it feel far more pointy and go-karty so after fitting and trying it,..... wundabar!!!!!

The great thing about this device is it's simplicity to install and removing it is just as easy if you desire a more compliant ride on say a long distance tour around Europe.

Good luck with yours.

Unfortunately it is Mark, the badge snobs look down their noses if it doesn't have a European badge. Idiots.

Imho if it wasn't for Ayrton's association with our cars it just wouldn't have the kudos it has today. The new NSX will suffer the same badge snobbery that exsisists even though it will be technically superior to anything in it's price range and even being made in America won't help.

I just wish this company would get their act together and finally blow the snob market away.

Chris Harris, who really does rate and like the NSX,k is asked to see which of these 3 supercars is the best in a drag race in the pouring rain, so what does Honda supply him with to compete in, Trufelo tyres, an almost semi slick summer tyre, what an absolute joke.

Honda really haven't done themselves any favours as you'll see from this great short video, in fact listen to what Mr Harris says 10 seconds from the end about the VW Golf camera car, just and absolute farce.:(

Enjoy this brilliant video eulogising about our iconic NSX's, just a shame it's not in the right colour.😎

Lots of wrong facts from the enthusiastic owner...he apparently wanted this car in the 80's but couldn't afford it...260bhp..was he driving an auto?

Never the less ..nice to see continued media support for our iconic car.

For all those that may have missed or couldn't view the latest Grand Tour episode, here is one of the best clips showing how the "new" NSX supercar performs against 2 hypercars in a drag race:

This is a great NA1 tribute video even if a bit too optimistic claiming that it will still be around in 2 to 300 years time!!!!! 🤔

That was a good Type-S video Nick but this Type-R comparison video takes the art of videoing to another level:

Stefan Belof's 35 year old Nurburgring all time best lap record time has just been obliterated by nearly a minute by the hybrid Porsch 919, and what a fantastic couple of videos these are to watch, enjoy:

A just released article from R&T about the NA1 NSX-R with some great footage, just a shame it's in Japanese.

I feel sure at 17' into the video it's finally decided that the Formula Red NSX is quicker than the Championship White R. 😎👍

What great choices, fantastic scenery and some real nostalgic footage in the second video, it makes you realise just how advanced the NA1 was when it was launched.
I really enjoyed that.👍

If ever you wanted to know what line to take around the Ring then watch this Egyptian driver give you a masterclass in advice and driving skills.

He obviously knows this circuit like the back of his hand and wears a very cool NSX polo shirt made exclusively for the 2017 Euro tour which is interesting in itself.

This fantastic video with an American narrator helps explain the reason why the 1995 Le Mans winning GT2 class NSX is my all time favourite road race car.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Got the GT2 NSX video to work on the second attempt. The page surrounding the NSX video has a lot of "intersting" content...
