A big thanks to everyone who braved the weather and came to Japfest today. We had a great selection of cars. Notably, Steve's yellow coupe with facelift style nosecone and type R bonnet. Very subtle. In fact most people didn't notice the differences for a while.
Mikes high mileage facelift was also very interesting. Just fantastic condition for a car with 150k miles. A testament to NSX build quality and Mikes hard work.
The weather on the other hand was a little changeable. However, not as bad as forecast. We even had some spells of sunshine.
The drifting was insane as usual and the general turnout busy. Getting there before 8.00am also avoided any queuing despite the Badminton Horse thing.

Anyway, please fill this thread with exciting NSX/Japfest pictures.

Cheers,

James.

Big thanks to Papa for organising our entry and for ensuring we parked in a pretty fashion.
Not as part of the club display was this joy, personally I'll say nothing other than to offer a moments silence. http://www.nsxcb.co.uk/images/misc/paperclip.png Attached Thumbnailshttp://www.nsxcb.co.uk/attachment.php?attachmentid=12159&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1399743015 (http://www.nsxcb.co.uk/attachment.php?attachmentid=12159&d=1399743015) http://www.nsxcb.co.uk/attachment.php?attachmentid=12160&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1399743019 (http://www.nsxcb.co.uk/attachment.php?attachmentid=12160&d=1399743019) http://www.nsxcb.co.uk/attachment.php?attachmentid=12161&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1399743021 (http://www.nsxcb.co.uk/attachment.php?attachmentid=12161&d=1399743021)

Thanks to James for stepping up and organising again this year.
The event organisers and local constabulary seemed to have upped there game this year with a well signposted (excluding the contradiction on the electrical board when we left the M4!) route, changing roads to one way and dramatically reducing the queue's we have experienced in the past.

Although Silverstone is in my opinion a more pleasant venue with more interesting activities going on outside of the club stand, the growing convoy to Japfest and the atmosphere on the club stand still makes Japfest the clubs social event of the year.

Great to meet up with fellow NSXCB'ers and hope Andy's feeling better.
Despite the outbursts of rain and it generally feeling a little chilly, I somehow still managed to get a sunburnt head! :(

I quite like the look of this kit but not something I would fit to my car.
Was really surprised to see the quality of the install on a car that is on display to promote a business. As advertising goes this was definetly a negative. I wouldn't consider that build quality acceptable on a £500 saxo let alone an NSX!

i was supporting Sarah with her Cube this year, as we were officially debuting the engine mods.... it certainly got a few comments, mainly 'F&$%ing hell, that's SICK', which we are lead to believe is a good thing :)

how was it the NSX side?? there seemed to be a lot of dodgy smells over at Quarry corner.... and not just when the drift cars were on track...

here's my top gear pic (they were there filming a skit for the program, you know the usual 'buy 3 crap cars and wreck them') this is the back of clarkson, may and hamster...

got told off for taking this pic, if they don't want pics thru the fence, don't make them see thru!!! i was taking a pic of the car, not clarkson and may anyway!

Surely theres plate swap begging to happen ... N5X SC should surely be on Gary's car ... unless of course theres more to the current NSX it adorns ... IIRC this one was on the market when I was looking and had non standard wheels ... good to see its still in good shape

If the bonnet had been painted all Indy Yellow I'd suggest 9/10 wouldnt even spot the subtlety of the bumper change ... have always liked this mod ever since MikeC pioneered over on Prime ... Nice job Olly ... seeing it finished you could probably swap the bonnet badge to a black version to tie in the black accents ...

Hi James,

Yes, I managed to pick up a set of the Prodrive wheels that Bas at R developments was selling. Need to get them refurbed and tyres fitted which is probably not going to happen until later in the year.

Glad you like it Paul :)

I've owned it since Feb '11. The previous owner had initials SC, I have a set of plates with dodgy spacing that came with the car, but the whole plate thing is really not my bag, so those standard ones stay on it.

Not sure about the wheels, it had those OEM ones on it when I went to see it, and there are tyre receipts in the folder that suggest they've been on it for quite a while. I had them refurbed and new tyres just after I got it.

Was a cracking day out and great to catch up with everyone.

poor showing in the japfest official galleries... only one NSX pic in the 3 galleries....

little better so far in the adrian flux club section...

and Duncan looking all aloof, obviously the sarf Mimms training paid off!!!! :)

(cube club has but one pic so far :( )

looking at the overall official galleries, it would appear the photographers kept mainly to the middle bit!
