Hello People

I am currently the owner of a ATR and the master plan of owning an NSX has taken a few steps closer now the flat is getting almost finished and the garage is being emptied of rubble.

The the general ability of the NSX and affordability of a £20k'er are now tugging the heartstrings, compared with everything else on the road they are looking like the best option.

I know of a green NSX in Fleet but was wondering if anyone else was around that could possible show me what they were like on the move. I have only seen NSXs parked or in fleeting glances on the move having not traveled in one.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there

the green NSX you refer to is most likely Martin (http://nsxcb.co.uk/forum2/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=273)'s - he lives in Fleet.

also there's Mike L (http://nsxcb.co.uk/forum2/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=11) (1993 Red/Black auto - now sold) and Paul (http://nsxcb.co.uk/forum2/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=103) (lovely JDM Red/Black) in the Basingstoke area, and Paul G (http://nsxcb.co.uk/forum2/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=59) in Petersfield

all thoroughly nice chaps - I daresay if you propose a pub-lunch-mini-meet (http://nsxcb.co.uk/forum2/viewtopic.php?t=743) you'll get a few of these guys together ;)

in addition I found the following local members in the member list (http://nsxcb.co.uk/forum2/memberlist.php):

Gary (http://nsxcb.co.uk/forum2/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=14) - Reading, 1992 Red/Black
OPT (http://nsxcb.co.uk/forum2/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=339) - Reading, 1995 NSX-T (http://nsxcb.co.uk/forum2/viewtopic.php?t=1217)
jamesb (http://nsxcb.co.uk/forum2/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=107) - Reading, still looking (I think)
fostero (http://nsxcb.co.uk/forum2/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=435) - Basingstoke, thinking about trading up
melinamotor (http://nsxcb.co.uk/forum2/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=368) - Fleet, thinking about trading up
colin228 (http://nsxcb.co.uk/forum2/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=417) - Fleet, thinking about trading up
Lankstarr (http://nsxcb.co.uk/forum2/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=260) - Basingstoke, NSX fan & future owner (I think)
zebedee (http://nsxcb.co.uk/forum2/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=355) - Andover, NSX fan & future owner

hope that helps ;)

Hi ADL

Yes Darren is right. Mine is the green NSX you have seen in Fleet.

If you know where I live, ie if you've seen the NSX on our driveway, feel free to ring the bell on the railings, we're a friendly bunch.

Dont be scared by the wolves in the garden - they couldnt eat a whole human!

If you dont know where I live just make contact again through this website and we can arrange something..

..and happy hunting!

I might even know of someone possibly selling their very good condition manual coupe NSX but its too early to say. (not me!)

Cheers
Martin

I had assumed that they were Huskies or a "Manmute" if thats the correct spelling. Didn't want to say in the original post whos is the green NSX parked in fleet on the drive here etc etc, you know what sort of people lurk viewing these forumns.

I am normally on pistonheads or ATR.org having also been on H Revs at one point in the past.

I am busy over the next few w/e's antifouling the boat what a task!

Many thanks for the friendly responses.

Also spotted a red NSX parked at fleet railway station driven by a lady.

You also see the occasional one in SW London.

Cheers again guys and girls!

Yes walking in wales this w/e meet a guy out with white huskie name scout and a 3 month old malamute!

Martin

Yes the black one is a Siberian Huskie, and the grey one is an Alaskan Malamute.

The red NSX you would have seen at Fleet train station is a chap that lives in North Wanborough.

Like I said before you're most welcome to pop by when its convenient for you.

Cheers
Martin

Hi Trident I saw your car on the 'meadows' roundabout near Blackwater/Camberley on the A331 a few days ago. I was "in disguise" in my partner's mx-5 at the time.

Why the sale? :(

The only reason is that I can't afford to run 2 children, a wife, 3 cars and a motorbike anymore and the wife won't leave so it has to be the car. It will be a sad day when the car goes!

Sorry to hear that, but I can imagine it all adds up. Maybe you'll have one in the future again?

Cheers,

Will be back in fleet wed-fri nights, will try and pop around in the evening.

Incidently you will all be glad to hear from a chap on Pistonheads that owns a Mcl F1 who says that the handling of the NSX is better than the F1.

Will be in touch.

any chance of a link to the relevant thread ADL?

If you go to this post half way down Flemke answers one of many obvious questions people have asked about his F1. The guy is very apporachable as you will see from the thread and any questions you have I am sure he would answer.

The threads worth printing off and reading.

Also look at the member information and the threads that flemke started they are both classic threads with lots of info.

Incidently he owns a 993tt as a daily driver and also owns a 959, the new CGT and a few others.

Hiya, my first post on here. I'm in Fleet and I have a black '91 Japanese NSX. I'll be at Goodwood on Wednesday if you fancy coming for a ride (it's a private track day). Please post here first to confirm as I don't want everyone turning up! Alternatively I'd be happy to take you for a ride around the local area.

Hi QuietJim

Youve been keeping a low profile! I didnt know there were any other NSXs in Fleet...Fancy catching up?

Cheers

Sure, I'd be happy to! Turn up at Goodwood tomorrow (Weds) if you like, I expect I'll be the only NSX there!

Actually, if you (or any other readers here) fancy doing the track day yourselves, there are a couple of last minute cancellations. It's a bit expensive (£300) but it is 105dB and they only let 5 cars out at a time, so you get loads of space. Let me know today if you're interested and I'll pass you to the organiser (who's a mate of mine).

Might be able to pop along for a meet, depending on work. What time are you there?

Assuming no car trouble, I'll be there from 9am until they chuck us off the track (probably 4:30-5:00ish). You never know, you might even be able to buy a session from the organiser if you ask nicely! Just turn up to the main gate, drive under the track through the tunnel, park in the paddock and mosey over to the pit lane, we're a friendly bunch :)

Went along on wednesday and met up with jim and his mates, Had a great day and even managed to get mine on the track for a few laps before failing the noise checks, It passed the static at 99 db but recorded 114 db at full chat!

Had a couple of rides as a passenger after that, 1 in in jims NSX and another in a Caterham 7. Have to say thanks to all involved especially Jim, fantastic driving! Goodwood is a great track and the marshalls & staff were very friendly, even managed to see Stirling Moss!

Maybe we could arrange a NSXCB meet there sometime?

You kept the autocar feature in this weeks edition quiet, looks really good and has got me thinking again!!

That's what it was for then :)

They used images of my car last week to advertise the feature, was wondering if it was going to be in this weeks also, probably not then.

Hi again Alex hope you're well. Thanks I was happy with the pics. Looks like I'm the only car owner in the supplement with a smile on my face! Only disappointment was the absurdly low stats they printed for the NSX...158 top speed, oh please, more like 187 according to some 'evidence' Ive had recently.

I had a good day up at Teddington studios, and they have also promised to send me through some extra pics too, and a few copies of the mag.

:-)

Is that speed ( on a private airfield I am sure) ratified by GPS?

Try for a free subscription.

Martin

Not ratified on GPS Alex.
