Hi Chaps,

just a quick question.... i am currently rebuilding my calipers and wondered if someone could tell me whether the 2 bolts pictured below belong to the front or rear calipers? Does it make a difference if they are top or bottom in the caliper? When i dis-assembled them they had so much grease on i couldn't even see the rubbers until all the sliding bolts were cleaned together.

Upper side and only used for the Rear caliper on certain year model.
By now, if you order the replacement, you will get the one without the rubber.

The upper pin has round body whereas the lower one has tiny flat cut out along the pin body.
This rule is the same for all four corners.

I don’t think it will make huge difference since you are going to fill the gap with the grease but I always mark the caliper bracket and keep the pin at each corners so that on re-assembly, the bracket goes back in its original position/orientation with the same combination of the slider pins.

Hi Kaz, thanks for the quick reply! Yes it was a little confusing looking at the current exploded diagrams as this part was not on any of them. If the part has been changed since, that explains it, all sorted now. Cheers!
