Black NSX on AT

Found this on autotrader.... going to get the Mrs to give em a call tomorrow as i'm still not back in the UK.

Anyone know the car? Or the owner?

Appears to be an Import (did a vehicle check on it). Date of 1st Reg is in 1999, Car is a 1996.

Ad doesnt say anything about manual or auto either :?

Save your good lady the trouble as this is NOT a nice car. Its local to me and I've seen and driven it.

In no particular order the issues with this car are;

Its a *** import / its been painted - badly / dents to roof (from inside!), ns door and osf wing / interior trim is very tired / oil leaks / missing front spoiler / brakes spongy

Theres probably more but by this time I was leaving politely.

FYI, there's another black auto on Autotrader from Eclipse cars. This car was advertised on the forum for 13999 on a few weeks ago and has had a paint. I've not seen this car.

with the NSX, being a *** import is a plus IMO, not an issue

the benefits are:

no slugs on the front (headlamp washers)
no droopy number plate surround
sportier gear ratios for 2nd, 3rd & 4th
generally lower mileage
generally not thrashed (especially if the 112mph limiter is still in place!)

the downsides are:

generally no decipherable history/documentation
japanese radio
need to convert speedo/tacho
need to add foglight
need to re-tune to run on 98RON fuel

^ some/all of these will have been taken care of already if someone else has taken care of the import and you are buying in the UK

just a few points worth bearing in mind when looking to buy an NSX and a JDM model comes up for consideration

btw, my car is not a *** import in case you were wondering - mine's a UK car.
