Just got my pride and joy back from its full paintwork correction....Swirl free. Have found a few stone chips to be repaired but otherwise and excellent job. To keep it that way I have decided to start using a Ph Neutral foam/ lance. Anyone else do this? and what are the results?

Hi Geoff, using a snow foam lance is great as it loosens dirt etc before you wash it properly, however to keep swirl marks to a minimum its important to use a good shampoo, lambswool mit and maybe the 2 bucket method, avoid leather chamois to dry the car and maybe a good 'quick detail' spray to keep the wax topped up, assuming it was waxed etc.

cheers,

Mike

I agree with Mike. I use snow foam and a snow lance, but this alone will not keep the swirls away, it is simply a good first stage in loosening dirt before a proper, careful wash and dry.

It's taken me years to get the swirls just so, I wouldn't want to start over.
