Whilst perusing the Lambo for sale ads in my dreams I came across a picture with a covered car in the background which I cannot identify. The guy is selling his Gallardo as he is taking delivery of a new Aventador, I'm thinking the car in the background might be something special ... ideas?11616

Me no think so, alloys all wrong and rear profile doesn't quite fit. Something very short at the rear, alloys look tvrish

What about after looking at this picture: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0a/McLaren_MP4-12C_–_Heckansicht_%282%29%2C_30._August_2012%2C_Dü sseldorf.jpg

Do you think that somebody who owns a Lamborghini would also buy a TVR? They'd be scared of the running costs!

I thought it was the MP4-12 (apparently, the correct shorthand for which is 12c rather than MP4), though it could always be a Corvette?

My curve ball guess is a Venturi !?

Looks like the Mclaren F1 to me - not the P1.

After much image searching in Google, I find myself in the MP4-12c camp.

Certainly doesn't look like any TVR I know / can find.

The wheels are not right for the guesses to date ...

12C and F1 have twin spoke wheels
Noble has BBS style
Non of the F cars have such a solid spoke
Evora is twin spoke
R8 wheels dont match
GTR way to big
GT40 wrong profile and 6 spokes
Koenig multi spoke ro bespoke

So how about this ...

I think it could be the 12c wheel still. The highest visible spoke in the picture is cut in half by the cover so you cant see the second. The other visible spoke, if you blow the picture up hints at being two spokes - maybe a result of a poor resolution an being close to the quad wheel. Not totally convinced.

Don't think it is the Porche, I think you would notice the drop over the rear window more, even if the cover was really taught.

Could a 12c wheel, but not attached to a 12c.

Maybe another Gallardo. Very short rear overhang, mid engined, guessing a carbon rear wing due to the high rear and a very even line from bonnet to roof line. Just a guess of course.

not a mp4-12c.... rear shape wrong. not McClaren F1 either. the rear shape is old GT40, but too short to wheel.

gallardo has too much overhang to! the one under the cover has virtually none..... and all the other lambos are quite chunky/klunky/blocky behind the wheel.

not looking lotusy either...

i give up!

I have no idea still but am surprised this mystery isn't solved yet! The guy has stacks of cash to be taking a new aventador in so it really could be anything. The rear end looks old school to me, almost like it has a square rear spoiler visibly coming up off the back. The wheels look new though and big, very low profile.

Hmmmmm

I would also go with Spyker or Koenigsegg?

Why not put us all out of our misery and drop the owner a line?

I thought the same, but its a bit cheeky to asked a someone, unless you
wanted to buy his car for sale, what is the car parked next to it is?

Slightly off topic, did you see the sub £50k grey Gallardo recently?
Still available now.

That was my first thought on seeing the alloys and rear-end.
