Looks like the Fenn's (Rob's?) road going NSX has been getting some exercise in at the Nurburgring... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXAJwjEEn-g&feature=plcp

Doesn't get overtaken in the hands of an expert, Ron Simons of RSR Nurburg fame, and sounds great as well :)

Cheers

The last time I saw their 3.2 it was stripped down in JDR's workshop waiting fitment of the wide body race kit .... so I suspect this must be quite an old video.

More interesting is the whereabouts of this car ... P988RAM ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=Owf_qwM5Zjk

Has someone got this tucked away in a garage as I've not seen this one before ...

regards, Paul

Yes, very probably. The video was only posted yesterday though.

Seen that video before. I suspect and fear that that car and the sister IOP one wearing L421 WMR in the 1998 promo brochures may have been dismantled or scrapped. Both are of course JDM cars but wear Euro rear bumpers for the video and promo pictures. Other spec issues probably prevented them being registered by Honda in Europe but hopefully the cars went home to Japan and found grateful owners.

Hi Guys,

Glad you noticed the vid. It was from back in 2007 now; the car was still very much road legal. I forgot how nice the standard car sounded; there it only had a cat-back exhaust. I remember clearly waiting for Plans to arrive with the car, and then we saw it roll over the brow of a hill...still remember the goosebumps and starting to feel very guilty it is in pieces in a container at the moment :( This is how it was:

The race car is the '96 3.0 we bought. It has done nothing season but is getting its new engine ready for a Britcar race in November. As i have the Lotus were not in a desperate rush, but we are currently thinking of space-framing the front so we can get away with at least an 18" front wheel so we can run latest tyre technology. Will do a proper update soon!

Have been looking at prices of NSX-Rs lately...should have bought at £100k when i thought that was silly...they are just ridiculous now.

Hi Rob,

Let me know if you'll have the NSX ready and I can post it as an event and get you some support ... and its as good an excuse as we need for a mini meet!

regards, Paul

T2 was pretty much in that spec when I last saw it at a Easytrack run Silverstone track day around that time. You guys had been there during the day and I had just arrived for the evening session.

Yes, let us know about more about the Britcar race and you might get some cars to rob for spares in the car park should any minor problems arise :)

Cheers
