The threads turned out less dark than I had thought..now more pink than red but does make it more eye catching.
Waiting for the door cards to be done.

Shizzle a brizzle that looks nice. How much is that costing? My dash is creaking like mad today, never had it this bad even in winter. Alcantara no creaky...

Really nice Kare! You going for the NSX-R look?

Silver Surfer

Just going for a more update look with a slight NSX-R twist to disguise the age of the car.....I still like the luxury of my double din set up ;-)

Looks like its been finished to a very high & professional standard, especially the stiching.

Can't wait to see it installed, I assume its for the Pearl beast?

The interior is now complete but my house and garage is like a construction site from the extensive house rennovation!.... so no space to do the interior swap....not until early next year . :-(

Here's some pics of the door:

Looks like a good quality job. Who did the work for you?

Silver Surfer
08-11-2012, 11:23 PM
A trimmer based in Clacton-on-sea.
All for £1.8K inclusive of material
This trimming is on a spare set of door cards/panel and a whole dash console as seen in the pics above.
If anybody is interested then I am happy to swap the spare set for trimming for yours and so on ..so this will reduce down-time without the car interior panels.

Really looking forward to seeing it all installed as this is the route I wanted to take with mine.

2 things to keep in mind if people want to take up your offer above.

1. The difference in models with twin airbags
2. Not sure if this is true, or applies to UK/RHD cars, but I remember reading that Honda changed the setup of the dash/center console to gives the impression there is more space, if this is true then I wonder if the mounting positions is all the same so the dash fits nice and neatly again.

Just things to watch for.

The swap idea is a good one depending on how long the trimmer takes and how long people are prepared to wait.

Looks stunning, how hard is it to replace the dash?

There is a lot of stripping out to be done before you remove the dash. Take a look here: http://www.nsxcb.co.uk/showthread.php?6702-NSX-Refresh/page45

Wow that looks fun.
I also noticed a seat repairs to a bolster you carried out Sudesh. Can I ask whhat you filled the cracks with to get such a good result?

With mine I'm just doing the sides. I'm leaving the centre armrest and the door card armrests in leather, I believe the R is also done that way. Hoping that will look and wear better in the long term being more wear resistant than the alcantara.

sides in alcantara, leave lid in leather, but would suggest the steering wheel is the next to retrim, maybe mix the red and black leather .... the overall transformation Looks really nice ...

Great result & I don't mind the red door cards, nice contrast.

Cracked on, there!

Looks good and the minimal red is a pleasant contrast; S2000 meets GT86!

Now, if Honda had've thought to do it for the facelifts onwards...

looks a top job!!!

Cracker actually ... albeit pink! :)

After revising the leather interior in my own car, it is a brilliant modification especially on older cars

Love the dash work.

Really top job ... SWEET!

did your upholsterer offer any guidance on how to clean \ maintain the steering wheel? It would be a shame to see this take on the 'shiney' effect alcantara wheels often get after a few miles of good use. Its the only thing I would have done differently, maybe going black with red stitching to tie it all together.

Overall effect is great!

This is what I used to clean the alcantara steering wheel on the white car....works brilliantly!!
